Common Justice operates the first-of-its-kind alternative-to-incarceration and victim-service program to tackle violent crime among youth in New York City. Following the principles of restorative justice, they design and implement interventions that recognize the harm done, honor the needs and interests of those harmed, and hold the perpetrator accountable. By doing so, they work towards racial equity while aiming to secure safety, healing and justice for survivors and their community, and break cycles of violence.
