About the Role

We’re looking for a self-starter to grow, engage and manage our US community of Epic Pledgers. Epic Pledgers are founders, CEOs and venture capitalists who want to have outsized social impact and create a culture of giving within the tech ecosystem.

The Epic Pledge provides a way for individuals and companies to embed purpose into their success. They do so by committing a % of their equity or carried interest to social good. The current Epic Pledge community currently consists of 200+ founders and VCs building top tech companies around the world. We engage this community of like-minded founders and investors through updates from our portfolio of high-impact nonprofit organizations and curated events designed to empower tech execs to become strategic philanthropists and lead by example.

The US Development Officer will be based in New York City and work directly with the US Head of Development, in close collaboration with our Paris, London and Belgium development teams. This is a full time position, based in the NYC office with the possibility of 2 remote work days each week.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves 3 main components:

1 – Growing the US entrepreneur/VC community. This involves developing strategic prospection lists and proactive cold outreach in the form of email, LinkedIn, in-person and digital networking, and pitching Epic and the pledge to individuals and startups.

2 – Managing the existing US Epic Pledge community. Tasks include organizing events (dinners, panel discussions, webinars, etc) with support from HQ, regular touch points with pledgers, and sharing donor updates from Epic’s portfolio organizations.

3 – Administrative – Ensuring Salesforce is up to date and providing additional administrative support to US team members (e.g. donor receipts).

Desired Experience & Qualifications

– 3 years+ experience in sales, business development or fundraising 

– Strong presentation and relationship-building skills

– Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Nice to Have 

– Demonstrated interest in philanthropy

– Existing network in the NYC and SF Bay tech startup ecosystems

– Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce in particular)

– International work experience and foreign language skills (French in particular)

Salary: $60,000-$65,000 with 3 years of experience, range negotiable depending on additional experience
